My VN car had 2 in the interior. I figured you looked behind the rear seat, that’s what you need to do, way easier than pulling a gas tank.

Sorry, but not even remotely correct. Since I am a Left Coaster, the majority of '70 & '71's I've owned/parted, were Van Nuys builds. I have found Build Sheets far more often in those than in Norwood cars.
Here's where I have found at least partial sheets in Van Nuys cars; top of gas tank, top half of rear seat, under drivers bucket seat in the springs, sandwiched between the right front inner fender rear and the cowl mounting bracket as well as glued to the rear axle assembly cover.
Only have found sheets under the carpet for late '70's VN builds.

Have owned 7 Norwood Trans Ams. Have never found a sheet.

Recently removed an OE tank from a 74 Norwood SD TA. No evidence of a build sheet ever being attached to the gas tank.

At least for the 1970 model year, I don't believe I've ever seen what we all know as a "build sheet" in a Norwood- built Trans Am. And that's hundreds of cars. If anyone has seen a copy of one, I would love to see it.

PY Member shakerz has something similar, an original Chassis Broadcast sheet, for a Norwood '70 T/A -- and that's the only one of those I've ever seen.

I did once own a Norwood '72 Formula that I found the build sheet inside the rear seat. So either it was becoming more common by '72 for the line workers to leave them in the car, or I got really lucky with that one.

Much more common to find build sheets with the Van Nuys cars, although it does seem that the top of the gas tank was the most common location they were left, so they're frequently in bad condition.

I’ll be checking the other places mentioned when I get home. Down in Monterey for the vintage races. (inaugural Velocity Invitational).

Thanks for all the suggestions and I’ll update soon. It was reported that my interior is all original. Fingers crossed.

But in the meantime, here are a couple T/A’s I saw today…

We found the build sheet inside the upper rear seat on my brother’s Norwood built 1972 455HO 4 speed TA. I asked him to dig it up and snap a picture of it. If he sends it to me I’ll post it.
