Default New Carpet Fit

Has anyone had any recent experience with a 65 Hardtop carpet molded for the 4 speed hump?
I purchased a new black carpet kit and the fit is terrible. It is an ACC product. The fit around the transmission hump and the fit around the 4 speed hump are bad. I made so many relief cuts that its useless, and still don't fit very good. Wondering if there are options or is this what we have to work with. Thanks.

I got the carpet in my '65 from AMES in 1983 and it could stand to be replaced again after almost 30 years of service. It fit just fine over the 4 speed doghouse, etc. My car is a console car so not real crucial. Suppliers have probably changed since the early '80's, I'd imagine.....

I put a 65 carpet in a couple years ago, from Ames. Fir was fine. Weren't the small carpet suppliers bought out, not to long ago, by an OVERSEAS supplier??

"Bill"!

Seems like Brody had some trouble with correct heel pad...
