Default UPS damage claim

How long does it usually take for them to contact and make inspection. Been 7 days and not heard from them.

It's the holidays but I'd call again & get someone out there as most inspections happen in about 2-3 days. in my experience.

Mine.....4 weeks......they lost/stole an item at the UPS hub in Syracuse NY, a clerk saw the small package and when I went to pick it up at UPS the package grew legs.
They must of noticed it was from the mint.
Had to file a claim with the mint and UPS......4 weeks time.

May have to have the party shipping contact them. This is the route I had to go with stolen Pkgs.

Found a way to contact them and said they just waived the inspection. Said they mail the inspection notice to the shipper but if you have the shipper give them an email you'll get your money faster. Also said they didn't contact no one that there would be no inspection. Now will be interesting to see how long to get $$$. Thanks for replies.

Is the claim for a damaged package or a lost one? With lost packages they like to wait for a while to see if it shows up. With a damaged one they like to say it was poorly packaged and try to get out of paying.
