I know... it's an awesome color and would look great with a red int on a 69.

I've made a decision. I was planning on bringing it back to the original silverglaze as my bird is very original but I just can't get past the fact that I think it to be dull. No offense to those who's car is that color. Another shade of silver just won't cut it as if I'm not going with the original color, I don't want any silver.
I've decided on Cameo Ivory. My 65 GTO is that color with black interior and it draws crowds, complements, and awards at cruise nights. So, with the red interior, the bird certainly will stand out. |

If not using the original color a good second choice is to stick to correct factory available colors for your car. White over red guts is definitely a attention getting color!

Yup..silver as well as whites do not reflect the surrounding images ,like a dark color. It's just science.

Also that's why so many Fleet trucks and Vans for company vehicles are white....they don't show the scratches or minor damage or road grime.

I have 11 cars in my garage, and whenever I get a new visitor they are always drawn to my Catalina which is white with red interior, they walk right past my two beautiful GTO's (brown and green).

I looked at the paint can mix label and it is called "Sterling Silver" a 1963 SD Catalina color. Perhaps it was "Fire Frost Silver" when it was a Cadillac color but I am telling you, it is stunning. Even if you are considering other colors take the time to have your body man do a sample card/panel. Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
