wanted 68-72 GTO/Tempest/Lemans
Looking for a 68-72 A body rust free in good driving condition. Car does not have to be 100% perfect/show quality, just solid/unputtied up, with a clean title. No post cars or convertibles or 4 doors. Rollers are good as well as long as they are painted already (not looking for a project car in the body department).
Drivetrain is not super important though 455, th400's and 12 bolts or posi rears are always a plus. I am just looking for something solid to start with. I am willing to travel into the New England area and east coast of the states. I have cash in hand. 13k is my maximum budget for a driving car, if you have a roller even better. You want to sell your car then shoot me a message. thank you Andrew |

Freshly restored with real nice base clear burgundy metallic paint, new black vinyl top, new weatherstripping, headliner, carpet. Completely detailed under hood and trunk with spare. New dual exhaust system, trans rebuild. Very solid nice clean car ready to cruise. $8,450 It's in the cars for sale section. Call John at 336-577-3519 or gtopartsrus@aol.com. He know Pontiacs better than most men know their wives.

I found a BUNCH of cars today. Got pictures and if its not one thing, its always another. Mechanical stuff doesn't phase me, boring/expensive bodywork does. Although I have to say there are too many guys with 350/2 speed lemans who want 10-13k for their cars

Well, this car is done, it's not a two speed and it's less than 9K.

Gotta ask Ken, if he knows Pontiac's so well - why is that sticker on the air cleaner?

He really does know these cars pretty intimately though. He still has his 71 455 HO 4 speed Judge from high school back in NY. He's been tearing through a bodies the better part of 25 years, mostly Ponchos. I think one of his cars just took the silver at one of the big Pontiac meets. He also has 1 of 18 '71 455 ho 4 speed convertibles. There was supposedly 21 but 3 were judge convertibles apparently? It has $1800 worth of options in 1971. The original selling dealer sent hime some key tags and licence plates and frames. It's still a family owned dealership in South Jersey somewhere. I'd post pics if it didn't take 10 years for them to get approved and uploaded. Kind of a PIA. Anyway, this LeMans he's selling may not be nut and bolt correct. I don't think he's selling it as such, but it's a real nice driver I guess and it's priced somewhat accordingly I would think. Hopefully and decal wouldn't stand between you and the car.

Try here. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=639416 I have more pics too but uploading them for some reason is delayed for a day or more. Maybe I don't have enough posts or something.

Pretty interesting about his 71 vert - would love to see pictures of it/talk to him some time. Did his come with option 601? Mine did, but none of the others (non Judges) I've uncovered in the last 20 years did. Mine's Quezel Gold/Black/Black and was originally delivered to Pontiac Headquarters - what color is his?
