Default 1967 LeMans Convertible

I hope this isn't too long, won't look so bad in the E-bay format.....I'm sure I'm leaving some things out, and I'll be adding pictures, of course.

Any suggestions?

Thanks....

i would never put the divorce stuff in there...its a negative, and sounds like your deperate....id change that..people think your desperate...and all the wackos will be out gunning for ya....plus its no ones business whats going on....id say if it sells great if not ill drive it some more...or something like that..direct but not smart assed

WAY too long of a description..i know ya have alot to say but your ad made me skip to the bottom in about 1.5 sec....clean it up, see if you can say the same thing with half the words...like maybe bullet points instead of on and on...people that are serious will ask questions...quality is quality and people can see it...

lamnas , never put any type of personal info in a add like marx said you will get every type of goof ball , lowballing person calling asking you to give them the car for free. just tell them you are selling it to work on another project ... feel for my freind , been thru this myself , but I was lucky and traded other stuff off in the dealings to keep it ( little she know it was stuff I didn't want anyways ...) good luck and keep your head up.

When I was looking to buy, I always steered toward the ads with too much information, but especially the ones with lots of large, well-taken photos. The photos add alot of confidence for the buyers who can't come and look. If you can just get more than one person who wants it, you can get your price. Set it up for a good, long auction, ending in the evening for the east coast, but still after work on the west coast. I would also suggest leaving off the personal stuff.

I would also put similar to, or easy clone conversion to, not a, or same body style as "GTO" somewhere in the ad to get it into more searches.

Good luck,

Kurt

Thats pretty good......short but covers the main info. Very easy to read top to bottom.
Gets their attention.

I would put a title on it in larger fornt so people can print or post on a bullentine board at work or somewhere

Couple of words need capatilization after bullet points to conform with others.

I would put a few more short facts about the motor in there. Thats a costly build I bet so talk it up.

I would take out the saying at the bottom about "forgetting some stuff"

and say: I have much more information on the GTO, including additional parts used and mechanicals. I can send via email with your request. Anyone who would rather call please contact me for phone number....(or put it in there from the start).

Take the word "stuff" out of Other Stuff...and say Additional Parts....makes it sounds like need to read that section.
Some nice parts listed in there to.

*** The bullett point formatt didnt work the second time I looked at it? Maybe it was changed. That was nice, IMO.

Good Luck With The Sale,

Jeff

X2 on the lots of big pics. I always appreciate lots of detailed closeups when im looking at something. If you can get it on a lift somewhere with a shop light facing up underneath that really helps the sale and from the description it sounds like your car will sell itself with good pics. Also good closeups of the obvious problem spots, window channels, trunk pan etc. Good luck with your sale and hope things look up for you soon.

Sorry to hear the news. Ever consider selling it cheap to an old tri-power guru you know?? You'd be able to buy it back someday.
