67 GTO 4 BBL Throttle cable bracket fitment
The bracket that I have, a repro from APE years back, which I'm pretty sure I used, again years back, when I was running the original carb and intake, seems to not reach the intake if I have it sitting on the upper mount hole. There is about 1/4" space between the mounting hole and the intake.
Is this the correct piece? or am I forgetting something that fits under it between it and the intake?

The one that goes on the water neck? Yes I do. It is similar to that, so that the alternator bracket will mount to it. Or do you mean the small bolt that mounts to the pedestal on the manifold in the upper little hole in the bracket? For that I scavenged one from my box o' bolts

Still looking for advice on what might be wrong with my setup. I measured the cable and it is 20 1/2" it wold fit if it mounted in the bracket more Forward than it does now.
For example, if I put the cable under the little bracket instead of the metal end (the bell shared ferrule) and have the metal ferrule out of the bracket entirely, it its perfect..If anyone has any experience with these brackets and cable lengths, let me know.

Just thinking out loud... is it possible the bracket is for a two barrel?
Primaries are more centered versus Q-Jet being further forward |

I have a pair of original '67 GTO cables I can check for you. Probably can get my hands on the brackets too. However it will probably be the weekend before I can follow up and get to them.

I will say that now after having spent time messing with this; The holes don't line up very well. If I bolt the top down, I can see that the lower hole on the bottom of the bracket is not centered over the lower bolt hole. It does not appear I have bent the bracket in the past. It looks "as stamped". Bad Repro part or wrong repro part...? edit: After looking at pics on a few sites I think I have a 65-66 4 bbl bracket, and possibly the wrong cable... I'm going to try a new (used) bracket first.. I'd still like to see your parts 400.

FWIW my '67 doesn't use a spacer under the bracket. It's sits flush in both locations. This is an unrestored car btw.
