Default IGN spade in fuse box has no power

Trying to wire up an HEI distributor. Went to connect a new 12 gauge wire to the IGN spade terminal in the fuse box and found it has no power with key on or when trying to start. Any idea what I should check first to get power back to that terminal?

Learned something new today, the fuses adjacent to the open spades is what sends power to them. I tested the fuses with a test light and one side showed power and the other side did not. Replaced that fuse and the IGN spade now has power.

Hope this helps someone else in the future.

Glad you caught that. I had the same issue a couple years ago and was going to mention that.
