Hi Bjoern
My '66 Grand Prix is Mission Beige with a black Vinyl roof. I think it looks very good. But I'd be very doubtful about putting a pale colour roof on it.

Regards, Ian

There's a 1966 colors and interiors brochure at http://oldcarbrochures.org/United%20...out/index.html It says there were three available colors for Cordova vinyl roofs; Ivory, Black and Beige, and if I read the brochure correctly, #527 trim on a Star Chief was a Bronze interior.

Your first picture looks closest to the original to me, it appears to be beige while the second one appears to be ivory. The color code on your trim tag is VV. There were two letters for the color code on two tone cars and cars with vinyl roofs. The first letter is the color of the lower body of the car, the second letter is the color of the upper body. There's a color chip chart for 1966 cars at https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pag...HorizontalTab1 and V stands for beige, so that means both the lower and upper parts of the body were beige.
