1955 Pontiac Safari
Hey everyone,
I joined earlier this week and haven't had time to make a post. However I have recently taken on my first and as it appears my be my last project car. My dad brought it home around 2008. As you can see I am missing a lot of things. I'm creating a post here to see what everyone laying around and maybe willing to part with. I'd love to hopefully get this thing running and driving for the first time YEARS!! If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to get it running that would be great. I'm definitely new at this but hopefully with the help from my dad and this community I maybe able to get my 55 Safari back on the road. **List of basic missing noticeable items** •Top lift hatch( which I can find off of a nomad if need be) **•Taillights and taillight housings** •I have half of the read bumper •I'm missing the chrome trim that runs from the door down the body And I have nothing interior except the chrome roof stripes I know it may sound like a lot, but these are the majority of the parts that I can see I'm missing right off the bat Thanks Everyone! Welcome!
You have quite a project ahead of you. I bought a 63 wagon about a year ago, and have discovered that wagon specific parts (interior parts in particular) are difficult to find. That being said, the thrill is in the hunt! Good luck, James Q

Sometime once you say originality doesn't matter things become more manageable. Does it have a drive train? whats your location?

I have access to a 389, but I'm not sure of it's condition. Missouri Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |

Quite a project to say the least. Speaking from experience, since you obviously can't make it "original", build it the way you want and enjoy it.
