I know there are several thermostat housings in reproduction from Ames. Which one would be the preferred housing to use. I would prefer to use the 61-63 aluminum reproduction housing if it will fit for proper looks. Thanks. This would be on a late model bathtub intake.

the 61-63 points toward the drivers side, the 64 points toward the pass side,65-66 kind of point straight toward the radiator. The fitting on the radiator will dictate which one to use.Tom

Just got the re-pop aluminum neck from Ames. Looks pretty nice. Even came painted. Any word on when production castings will be poured? My engine is ready to dyno other than pushrods.

Mike,we expect 10 of each intake around the 15th and 20 more every 2 weeks. There are 30 tops ready for pick up tomorrow. If all goes as we are told John should be ready to start shipping the end of the month.I will post the first 10 of each and how to contact John for payment and shipping info.Again if all goes well he should be good to ship 20 intakes every 2 weeks as his time allows. He has a regular machine shop biz to run.As of today I show 14 early spoken for and 28 late style.Other have shown interest but they are not confirmed on my list.Soon we will know the contenders from the pretenders. You are number 2 on the late style.Tom

Just picked up 30 covers from the foundry this afternoon, I saw that they have already poured 10 early bases and 10 later model bases. So our first production casting batch is done, now it's in my court to machine them. We will be shipping the first batch this month, so it's time to line up the first ten buyers for each of the early and late model versions.

Tom, if you could post the first ten names for each of the early and late, and I will get the orders organized. We will need a check for $2500 plus $65 shipping for each one. Please mail a check made out to "Innova Engineering" at the following address:

Innova Engineering
1533 E. McFadden
Unit A
Santa, ANA , CA 92705

If you are one of the first ten on the list and you don't want to order a manifold, send me a PM and we will pass the slot to the next on the list.

Here are some pics of the covers:

It was a long effort, but the results are worth it, these castings are very nice- as cast right from the foundry- no machining yet.

Appreciate the seemingly endless effort, Tom for starting this project, and you John for running with it.

The 808-F type aluminum is sharp, functional art. Thank's in advance for the precision machine work.

Frank

Might if you want to run screens like I and 61-63 do.If air cleaners I doubt it.I would take pics of mine but not sure the engine is in the stock height location.I know its moved toward the pass side to give more room around the steering shaft.Tom

Iam thinking for me to run the stock air cleaners on edelbrocks will modify base and raise body 1/2" and not use my 1/2" carb spacers. We will see.
