Default Help: Steering Rod and Gearbox do not align

Hi,

I had to swap out the steering rod bearing that goes in to the firewall on my 1966 LeMans. To pull out the rod I just swung the steering gearbox to the side while I was working on the bearing. Now the two won't align any more (both horizontally and vertically). I can't even align them when I pull the steering gearbox up and to the side with a prybar (bolts loose of course). What could have gone wrong here? And how can I fix this? Shim the gearbox? Any ideas? (see pictuers)

Thanks!
TJ

Oh man, that makes sense. I didn't know the complete assembly can be tilted.
Thanks so much for the quick help!
