Default New Member First Build

Hello all, My name is Jon and I am a new member here. Just about finished my first Pontiac engine build as well as a complete rebuild of my 1965 drag car. I got the car from my father who has owned it since 1993. Dad was never able to finish the buid and then he lost interest in the car as he grew older. He now has a well build 68 GTO he is playing with. As far as my car goes, its got a great past story but for me it started with a budget build I did with it back in 2016 because I couldn't see the car not get finished so thats why I took on the project. Its a 1965 LeMans that I have now turned into a GTO clone. Car had 35 cans of satin white spray and 5 cans of plasti dip for the simulated vinyl top. It was powered by a 366ci N?A carbed LS engine before w/TH400 and ran 10.4@125 all motor. It was alot of fun but I wanted to make it PURE again. So I stripped it all down and started all over again. Built my first Poncho powerplant with help from my old man as well as Jeff Kauffman and some other local Pontiac enthusiasts. Details below of build..

Engine: 1968 YC 400 Block now 461ci, Drilled for Kauffman Billet 4 bolt mains w/studs, 3/4 filled, Kauffman bore brace, Ohio Forged 4.250 stroke Crank, Eagle Forged 6.800 rods, Icon Forged flat top pistons 4.155, Edelbrock Round Port 64cc 330CFM heads w/studs & cometic gaskets, Lunati Solid Roller 282/282 .404/.404 lobe lift 104IC Crower 1.65's w/stud girdle, Port matched Victor 4150 intake, ProSystems 1000cfm carb, MSD Crank Trigger, 13.7:1 compression, X16 fuel. Hoping for 650+ @ 6800

Trans: Dynamic Racing Built TH400 W/Brake, 4800 stall converter.

Rear: Build 12 bolt 4.11 pro gears, girdle, strange spool 33 spline.

Car: Gutted 1965 LeMans 3050lbs, glass hood and lexan side windows, Mayfair Maize W/ Vinyl top. Drag Car ONLY due to being cut up. Could be put back to a street car with some work.
