Greg:

Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the pics and that crossram intake set up. You will definitely need to take some video of this beast running and even better, doing a nice burn-out and then hooking-up and coming out of the hole!

What are you going to use for the Ram Air? Fab up a pan like the Z28 Cross Ram?

thats the EXACT pan i bought for it.will have to see how it fits.hell, i more worried about the hood closing, its going to be tight.but after doing the gold ram air v dual quad car,we will get it figured out.the only thing is ,the v car had inline dual quads.this crossram thing is going to look KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have had the intake and carbs mocked up together.what we have figured out so far is distributor is going to be super short.the distributor has to go in block before mounting crossram.the bolts on the crossram go in the inside of the bottom of the intake.then bolt top on and carbs, linkage, etc.the spacers are 15/16 thick, that is the part that is worrying me about getting everything in and the hood to shut.the pontiac crossram is taller than the chevy crossram.like i said before,it is going to be very tight.we are going to try the short distributor first.if that wont work, maybe an offset distributor.last choice is crank trigger ignition.trying to stay away from the last one,it is expensive and i have already dumped some serious cash into this whole project.but i think it will be worth it.a black judge with ram air iv engine and a factory original pontiac crossram.i dont think it gets much cooler than that.

Greg,if you want to do it right for a looker, get a 301 turbo block, put as big of arm that Ric can get in the block, put your IV heads on it and the intake will fit perfect and a dist will be easy to fit in it then.ALSO no clearance issues. The BIG rub is the intake was made for the short deck block.JMHO,Tom

i have confidence that rick can make a distributor.ram air iv engine already built and in the car.like i said before,it is ready to fire right now, just going to change intake setup.i already knew before i bought the intake that there would be some obstacles to overcome.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! (Sorry Sweetjudge, couldn't resist)

I love the pin striping on the fan shroud. Those two big bumps on top of the motor are pretty dang cool too. NICE job on the distributor!

I wanna hear the beast speak! Sure hope you can upload a video to u-tube and then give us a link.

BJ

Scott, I think I owe you a few bucks then. Will you accept it in the form of a chilled adult beverage when I finally get a chance to meet you in person?
