[Tennesseestorm]

Hi guys. I have a 89' Pontiac Safari wagon that I have owned for years. I stopped driving it, because it was so low on power, despite running smooth. Even floored, it would not get up and go. I had a new cat convertor put on it, as well as o2 sensors, but there was no change in power. We even replaced the carburator. When floored, it will actually even bog down even more. I know these cars never had a lot of power even when new, but this one is terribly slow. I had been advertising it and even had been trying to trade it for a older 73-78 Country Squire or 71-73 Cadillac, but no one seems to be interested and it being a 100% rust free car, I do not want to just give it away and see it stripped and derbied.

I have about decided to just try to fix her up and use as a daily driver for awhile. I was told the low power could be a stretched timing chain... does anyone else think so? OR have any other suggestions of what I should try before I end up junking it out? Wish I had a 350 to drop in it, but I do not want to do that much work to it.
