There's just no pleasing you cwolf.....just kidding.
The best, although expensive way would be to get a flat glass hood ( VFN pin on $260.00 www.vfnfiberglass.com or Glasstek bolt on $300.00 www.glasstek.com ) and the Spotts hood (595.00 pin on www.spottsperformance.com ) and cut the center out and mold it on to the flat hood. You could mold it on to a steel hood but it will crack and separate over time. You could get lucky and get a damaged hood from Spotts if they have one at a reduced rate.

Looking for the right Ventura for the drivetrain ('73 w/o Sprint nose)

My wife called spotts for me today and they still carry the 67-69 FB Super 400 hood. Now all I have to do is figure away to get it and find someone who can adapt it

The proper thing to do would be to see if Spotts could talk the manufacturer into making a run of hoods for the Xbodies! I am sure one of us could supply them with a donor stock flat hood to make the mold!

Good idea I can get one from the junkyard from a 73 Ventura. But I guess it would depend on how many would step up saying they wanted one and be willing to put a deposit down. But I couldn't do it until febuary.

Im sure someone would make some of those...they would likely be pricey.
I know VFN doesnt advertise a cowl hood for the Ventura but they will build one for you.....they sent me an email with a quote for a fiberglass hood with a 6" cowl. May be able to get them to make a few of those.

And Glasstek offers both pin on and bolt on hoods....VFN only offers a pin on.

I wonder about how much it would cost and if we can get enough people to do a group purchase at a discount

Would be interested in fenders and pin on hood. If nothing else becomes available this winter, I probably will purchase a 4" cowl pin on from VFN, need it for the soon to be installed Victor/Dominator combo.
