I don't have my '73 back yet, but I had red LEDs put in the dash. When I get it back I'll post some pics. I wanted a little 10th anniversary in the car.

Hear ya, I made mine red because the car is red...White would definitely need to be dim-able...G73A those look nice. LED are a huge improvement.

Thanks a bunch for all the tips. I swapped out all the cluster illumination with Philips LEDs (super white), replaced the red warning light bulbs, turn signal bulbs, or headlight high beams light with new regular 194s, and swapped the lights behind gas gauge and voltage gauge cluster, and the temperature panel with 1895 LED bulbs. Wow, huge improvement. I got lucky I guess, the dimmer works as good as always. I attempted to do it all in dash but there were several I could not reach. Ended up been easier to remove the clusters, including pulling off the speedo cable to get it all out. And as was suggested (glad I remembered) I dropped the steering column. Once all was out it was a breeze. Worth the extra effort. The 194 LED were polarized, so simply did a trial and error for most after reconnecting the electrical plug. It was long enough to do this. Thanks again. Now to tackle a minor pre-existing gremlin LOL.
