Default ACC vs OER Carpet

I used a ACC carpet in my second gen Trans Am and the front passenger side was a bad fit. Has anyone had experience with OER?

I just installed ACC carpet, (with mass backing), in my 78 TA. Fit well. What problem did you have?

I purchased the two piece. Back half was great. Driver side front was great. Passenger side front floor excessively buckled. Ames has suggested that I give the one piece a try.

By adding the mass backing to the carpet is there still a benefit of adding a Thermo-Tec or Dynamat type liner. Thanks.

I added the dynamat type stuff before the carpet. Actually used Peel & Seal roofing material from Lowe’s.

A friend recently bought OER carpet for his F body and said it fit like crap and was shedding like a sheep dog. He pulled it out and was thrilled with the fit and quality of ACC.

Singleton how did you find the peel and seal to compare to products such as dynomat? Is your car quieter? Do you have less floor board heat? I want to dynomat my entire interior doors and all but the 400+ price tag has me looking for alternatives

My carpet was one piece. As far as the stick on liner, I was more concerned with reducing vibrations more than heat. The floor never got hot before, so no comparison

Just installed the ACC one-piece from Stock Interiors. Great fit. Way different than the two-piece that gave me so much grief, and I suspect that the two-piece is for 1975 and earlier. Took the advice of comments and ordered it with the mas backing. Huge difference, heavier carpet and very happy with it.
