'70 1/2 & up 160 mph Rally guages & tach (T/A guages) are split up like the following:

-'70 1/2, '71, & early '72 (w/o unitized K65) this speedo has a rectangular slot for brake light warning only.

-early '72 production (same as above, but with K65 unitized ignition)

-Jan 1, 1972-74 (has 2 windows in lower portion of speedo, one for brake, one for seatbelt warning) tach is for single point distributor.

-Jan 1, 1972-75 production...has 2 windows on speedo & tach is set up to run with electronic ignition (unitized or HEI)

Besides tachs, printed circuts are different between the early speedo style & later (mid '72 up) style. Have to really beware on e-Bay, most of these are misidentified application wise.

I think there is a difference in the connector that plugs into the back of the guages. I can't remember the details, but some years back I had a 70 or 71 Firebird Formula with guages but no tach, and I was going to put a gauge cluster out of a 74 (I think) in it, The connector that plugged into the back was different. I ended up taking the tach out of the later set and installing it in place of the clock on the original cluster.
