Hello gang ,

Can I put a 6 speed out of an f body into my old 1976 tras am .. I know I have to fabricate the tranny tunnel for the wider trans , but other then that .. will it work without spending 2000 fabricating mounts , bellhousing .. ect ??

High Performance Pontiac did an article on this very swap. I think they said the shift pattern on a the tranny you have was backwards from what you will need, they recommended buying the tranny from parts counter and also provided Part #s
