Did anyone notice in the photo of the red 69 bird on the line what the car in front of it was?

I just wanted to comment that this would have to be the Van Nuys CA plant, which also produced the Caprice and Impala.

Norwood produced only the Camaro (and then Firebird).

This is per the Camaro Research Group: http://www.camaros.org/assemblyprocess.shtml I am compelled to comment once again that this is an excellent, excellent (...excellent!...) resource, nicely structured and chock full of good detail, which applies to the first gen Firebird as well as Camaro. If I were to do a writeup of the truck assembly process (...if anyone cared ) I would probably start by using the format shown here. FWIW -

I agree - and a '69 at that! I have no idea if they were built in the same plant but when I saw the pic, that was my first notion.

Thanks for the clarification Keith. That had been my assumption, but I wasn't sure what else was built at Lordstown, earlier in production. And since there were no Camaros built at Lordstown, there is no info about it in that great Camaro site.
