Default heater seal

can someone tell me what is the best way to seal the heater case to the firewall on my 1966 gto.I am doing a complete restoration so the firewall and case have both been cleaned up and painted.

If you are asking about the engine compartment side butal (?) tape that is used to install window glass works well.

3m bedding compound comes in a caulk tube , black .

3M strip caulk is what I used....works great !
