Was not aware of that change Travis. was looking at other things like the extra bolts in the head. If it had been a snake i would have gotten bit, lol.

That being said, normally cam drive set-ups use a timing cover with the cam drive/ pump mounted on that part and a drive shaft from the cam driving the fuel pump.

If you had a BOP timing belt deal, and I do not remember if you had one or still do, did you make a stand off bracket to hold the pump and then still use the drive shaft to turn the pump?

Me, a 1974 model Bridgeport mill, a 1942 model South bend lathe, a little bit of scrap material, and a couple hours later.....

I wish my little bits of scrap material ended up looking like that!

Yea, mine end up looking like crappier pieces of crap. That looks nice. Simple but affective. Having a mill and lathe would help. But could be done with lesser tools and time. Mark L

I have seen your fabrication skills in the past on that F1R Procharger Bird FEAD System.
(FEAD = Front End Accessory Drive. And obviously some serious CAD Skills too.

I assume you fixed the "distributor movement issue" previous to the Fuel Pump Mounting exercise.

Very Nice work there Travis.

I hear the Plasma Cutter warming up. Have you confirmed when the 1969 Firebird is going to the chassis shop?

Did the 535 strap on a dyno yet? Looking forward to the results...natural or boosted.

We just decided this week on turbo orientation...I think. So now we fabricate tubes. I am going to have Joe at The Indy Cartel tack weld it and send pictures to Ed. When we get the engine from Tony, then Casey is going to plumb and wire the EFI system for Ed.

Tony isnt crazy about reefing up this dude on the dyno. He only wants to pull it to maybe 1400HP. I think we can get him to pull it higher. The dyno is max about 1800HP. The other thing is to see what HP it makes on pump gas.

We will see what Ed wants to do. He is entertaining the idea of having it dynoed at Steve Morris' place. Tony is good with Morris' expertise on Turbo and EFI engines.

Tom, Rodney what kind of longevity do you guys see with 2000Hp plus Pontiac engines? Nearly 300Hp per cylinder has got to be a lot of free energy to maintain.

As it all depends on the parts and the tune -- In my case turbos have been very easy on parts - I just pulled a few caps to check bearings after last years - and couldnt be happer - like new.

That motor sure would look good in my 67 firebird! It's for sale!

Tubbed, 4link, 12pt cage!
I think it would still need some updating to handle 2200HP though

Nice looking car, what does it have for a cert and is the cage moly? My 69 already has an expired 7.5 cert.
Are you selling it running or rolling?

selling it either way, but it is not certified, it would need updating. it is an older cage and is probably mild steel.

It is not really a race car. it was going to be before I bought it but I put it back on the street. It has alot of good parts and was well done but 2200 HP is A LOT!!!

I think most of the cage would need redone. you would have to see it.
