Along with the 400HP CTSV, they are comming out with the new STSV, with a supercharged Northstar hiting the 430HP mark. An interesting tidbit though, it comes with a spoiler delete option, deleted its governed to 130 mph, but with the spoiler is governed to 155mph. Appearntly the guy in charge hates the spoiler and didn't want it, but the car was having to much lift in the rear and had issues with the higher speeds.
Also the escalade will get a v10-v12, and the XLR will probably get a v10-v12. There was also talk of the STS getting a v10-v2 down the road.
Just wait until you see what's up at Pontiac for 2007-8. I have some info, but I cannot share right now.

By then, both Chrysler and Ford will have beaten them to death in sales, save for their light truck line. To me, this sucks, as I consider myself a GM man.
How about that sporty new pickup truck? What a waste.

Pontiac will introduce a new V-8 which will be an OHC hemi-head design. It will coincidentally have the same bore spacing and head bolt pattern as the '55-'81 version. Of course monkeys may fly out of your butt before that happens.

Judge was my guess too. So what , now Cheby has a SSR that has no use what so ever. And a Caddy that will smoke a GTO!? And the GTO looks like Chittt. Pontiac can't win period.........
OK, the GTO looks like like a honoyota, not Chittt. But it does have a de-tuned Caddy engine and I'm proud! I bought a truck instead- because it sux.

GT as in Ford GT, you know the retro car from the 60's that cost's 150K. What else does Ford have have to offer the car enthusiast?
let me see here.,
Focus
Mustang
Taurus
Crown Vicky
Thunderbird
Ford Freestar minivan
Ford GT
Very exciting line indeed.
And who said I was comparing the GTO to a Mustang? Take a long hard look at Ford's lineup for the next 3 years. Now go take a look at GM's lineup. Go on.

All this is great talk. GM needs a car with some resale value that Joe Everyman actually wants. SSR. 40k 50k 60k Caddy. A "New" Judge. Since GM is buying V-6's for Saturn from Honda maybe they could rebadge a few Accords as Chevy's. GM is wasting their efforts on vehicles they will only sell a few of. They need a GOOD car people can afford.

And Pontiac has?????
Oh yeh, the new GTO
When the new GTO is discontinued, I guess Pontiac can always fall back on their truck line like Ford does.

I don't know. Why don't you tell me since you seem to know what's going on in the automotive world.

What's the current rumor mill churning about a potential GTO Judge package in the future? As I understand it, Ed Hamburger from SLP bought the rights to "The Judge" namesake and GM brass is in an uproar about it. Who's lawyers won?

As of today SLP owns the trademarks to "Here Comes Da Judge" for accessories plus automobiles. GM owns the trademark "The Judge", but for Parts, restoration parts, and accessories for motor land vehicles.
Pontiac wil most likely NOT release a Judge model. From a marketing standpoint it makes no sense to associate the new GTO with the Judge. Only GTO enthusiasts would get it. If your marketing stategy is to pull in upscale car owners, ie BMW, Audi, Saab owners, the JUDGE name will not mean a damn thing to them. And actually is kind of silly from Pontiac's point of view. Whether some like it or not the new GTO is Pontiac's halo car and to associate it with a 60's sitcom just doesn't make sense from a sales and marketing standpoint.
With that being said though... A hipo version of the GTO is in the works.
