As I see it, if you produce the jacket, you could get in trouble from the jacket manufacturer (if they're still around, hint) but several companies made "GTO" jackets (thats what everybody called them). And if you just supply a patch that looks similar and the new jacket owner applies it, I would think they (GM) can't do a thing (the aftermarket was producing Tradename patches long ago).

Thats a great idea. If we produce an orange jacket with stripes, but no markings... thats not an infringement.
Then we get someone to make a Judge patch, and give them out free if you purchase a jacket. And everyone is on their own to put them on the jacket, if they want (wink..wink) I am sure GM has not copyrighted the word "Judge". And I don't know if there is actually an official "Judge" logo. |

ALL it takes is to alter the image slightly
add a shadow add another outline ect. WE CAN DO IT,

a jacket is a jacket that exact material may NOT even be avaialabe anymore, well see
as far as the patches i dont see GM going to swapp meets to corner the guy selling patches or graphics,that PROMOTE there cars or brand

OK,
I've got an original jacket from 1969. It was given to the proud owner of a 1969 GTO judge when he picked it up at the Pontiac Retail Store in downtown Pontiac. The guy even worked for Pontiac Motors at the plant. what info do you need? Please let me know and I'll get it to you in a timely manner. Guilty...... |

I am sure Pontiac Banshee or one of us would like to take it to a manufacturer to get the specs to make them.

I spoke to an apparel mfg. re: Judge jackets. I can make this happen. Would you be willing to let me have your jacket for about a week to take to the mfg. ?? He needs it to get exact specs. I will keep it with me, and give you a security deposit if you want. email me at judge69@mac.com |

OK guys I am getting really confused here!!!
1.) Are there now 2 who are working on creating jackets. SWEETJUDGE was the first and now there was a post from taximan????????? WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHO IS TAKING THE LEAD ON GETTING JACKETS QUOTED AND MANUFACTURED. TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE ASKING FOR JACKETS TO GET DIMENSIONS AND GETTING PRICE QUOTES IS OK BUT WE DO NOT WANT TO COMPLICATED THIS ANYMORE THAN WE HAVE TO!!!! 2.) I posted in this thread here that I have created an email address so all that are interested in getting a jacket email that address so I can get a count of how many want jackets and so far I have a total of 6 people interested. THE PRICING ON JACKETS ARE GOING TO BE BASED ON NUMBERS MANUFACTURED SO WE NEED SOME NUMBER TO WORK WITH. PLEASE EMAIL JUDGE-JACKET@NEW.RR.COM |
