Blk/Blk IV 4spd is like the King Kong of 70 Judges. Orbit Orange a pretty close second.

Although Silver, Gold, Green and etc.... are all the same Car under the color - Black and Orbit O is about a 25-50% premium to a collector. Judge option is another 40-50%. IV is a 75-100% premium over III.

Personally, I'd pay about 50-75% as much more for an authentic Blk/Blk 70 Judge as I would be willing to pay for the same quality/condition/equipped Green/Silver/Sierra/Gold/Bermuda (discount colors by my preference). Black is #1 with me on all 64-67 GTO's and all Judges.

Topic Car is at 170k now with 7 1/2 days left.

BVZ - you're killing me with the negative comments on silver and gold cars! That hurts, man!

They ALL (colors) look good - just some better than others.

I love driving these cars and am not really worried that everyone gravitates over to my car at shows. I know what it is I have and am driving. Sure, if all things were equal I love black cars. But for $100,000 or more savings I'd drive the non-Judge MINT COND Pepper Green over Saddle RA4 any day of the week - even if I had the extra $100,000 to spend. And I'll also say that the extra money on the black car is going to help the seller of the Green one out. IMO

It's not as much fun when you only have a 3spd.

The point we were discussing was price and desireability. I was saying that with the disparity of price between Judges & non Judges, when you can buy a non Judge IV car for almost the same price as a RA III Judge - for me the decision would be easy.

Have you ever driven a RA IV car Doug? You seem to have taken it personally, but then again, you just like to argue.

Where's the Daytonna Yellow car? Is it for sale? I'd love to (as I'm sure everyone else would too) see some pics of the car and the documentation that this was the original color of the car.

Thx,

Phil

I've got a few older pics of the Daytona Yell IV Judge. Scans of the PHS, Buildsheet and pic of trim tag. But I guess we would have to see the Car in actual person and/or remove a few trim pieces or panels to document proof positive it is mostly original paint and originally factory sprayed Daytona Yell.

Pretty certain though, we can trust RPP on his description. At the very least - it's a special order paint/numbers matching/ IV 4spd Judge.

Wheeeeeeeee Doggy !

Will let owner decide what he wants to post up though. Some info and old pics are on the "ultimategto.com" site if you do a search for yellow 70 (hint-hint).

I was agreeing with you. Those of us with little old III's know our place, sir.
And you always have an ego problem. What you call arguing is shining a light on people's belittling statements. The poor mouthing is the exact reason I responded.
3 spd? I don't have a 3 spd in my car---or a RA III. But with your belittling 3 spd attack comment, you have proven my point that you will bash anyone without thinking.

I've said before, I'm not even a Judge guy. Because of the attitudes of GTO owners towards other styles. Selfishness kills the hobby.

What was argumentative about my statement Pot? More attacks on other's cars?

Like I said, you took it personally.

This week I guess it's my turn, next week you'll argue with somebody else.

Whatever....

These are all IF's;

If this is an actual RA4.
If it has all the original rust free sheet metal.
If it has the original (verifed) drivetrain.
If it has 33k DOCUMENTED miles.

Then, this might be one of the nicest (and highest valued) Judges left on the planet.

That's a lot of IF's

RAM4King, yeah but your GTO fender nameplate doesn't have its horizontal bar painted body color...

The "private bidders" found the reserve at $175K, and now the "bidding" has gone even higher.

The seller has given us some insight into his style and intellect with the following added to his description in large bold caps:

"GAME ON " PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO END THE AUCTION ANY MORE. LETS SEE IF THIS CAR CAN BEAT THE YELLOW MOTION GSX SORRY BUICK GUYS THIS CAR IS HOT!!!!!!

Interesting he chose to add this instead of some meaningful information about the car, or direct answers to questions already asked.

The following question and answer seems to be contrived, probably was asked and answered by the seller:

Q: Hello Don, thank you very much showing me your car this morning and getting there at 6am.I stand on my offer after checking all codes this afternoon when I got home. I would be able to wire tranfer you the money Friday morning. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks again for taking the time with me on the Hoilday Thanks Rob
Nov-23-06
A: ROB THANKS FOR GOING OVER THE CAR WITH ME BUT I AM GOING TO LET THE AUCTION RUN TO THE END.

I still doubt there are any legitimate bidders bidding this high on this car.

TOO MANY- I agree. Wasn't there a Red RA4 Judge for sale this past summer at a dealer that was #1 show mint and all matching that couldn't get the asking price of $125,000?

The same dealer had a Black/Red RA3 Judge that couldn't get his $75,000.

Did those cars ever move?
