stockcar32, I collect info on '70 A-bodies built at the Fremont plant. Could you PM me some info. like the VIN (like 242370Z125***), date shipped (from PHS, when you get it) and the contents of box 10 on the build sheet (will be like 92 01-09). I would appreciate it.

Stockcar32 – Wow, I have been following your thread and want to congratulate you on your find. What a great car.
How did you locate the car and convince the owner to sell? There are three Judge’s that I have been trying to buy in Montana and Idaho but the owners all have visions of restoring the car someday or think it has restored car value. It is always disappointing to see these cars sitting and slowly rotting away. The statement in this months Hemmings Muscle Car magazine regarding the value of white Judge versus orange or black is misleading. I bought the car that the reference was made about and have a different opinion on why the white Judge did not bring the money expected. |

Yes, I think you're right. I think the 48's are RA III's right? Anyways, my wife said I was crazy for posting the build sheet. I trust you guys.

I'd suggest editing the post and blacking out the VIN on the build sheet. Also, check the distributor #'s when you have time: 400 c.i. 370hp 1112011 |

Man, I was really hoping to write this thread. I found a guy that currently has a 70 White/red interior #'s matching 4 spd Judge. Was told it was a WW but finally got a 3 min look and it's a WS. Guy has gone from affordable to unobtanium in less time it took for my breakfast.
Congrats Stockcar32you have made my wife a widow as I look for the other needle in the haystack. Awesome find. Hope it serves you well |

Thanks everybody, I am trying to get in touch with the origina owner as to the location/availability of the original motor. If I can find that then that would really cap this amazing story. If not, then will probably sell her to someone who can afford to restore her. If restored I would be afraid to drive a car that rare

the best guess would be that the engine was blown and the heads gto scavenged for another car.
Funny, my 'got' came up 'gto'--I let it be. Might have some chance of finding the original block, but I bet it's been gone since the 80s. With the luck you've been having, you may find it. |

Well, supposedly I got the car from a guy that had taken the car because of a defaulted personal loan by a fellow who had been given the car by his father who was the original owner. Makes sense, as the car was sold in Brigham City, Utah and the guys parents live in Salt Lake City. So, we will see, if my luck would hold just a littttle bit longerrrr
