Nope. The EUN won't be on the buildsheet.
Would still be nice to find a buildsheet though.

The EUN would only be on the Billing History Card.
We don't have access to those these days for 1969 newer - just invoices.

We have observed two 1969 Billing History Cards in past years.
They were obtained from Pontiac - by owners who knew certain people back in the days before the free PMD invoices were available, and before PHS documentation became available.

That's a bummer so there might not be a way to verify if the block is original. The car was owned by the grandfather for 5 years before being owned by the uncle - so its possible information about a warranty replacement was lost along the way

With the sludge on that engine, I'd bet the farm on the original WS sitting there.
That is a nice car with a great story/history.

The dash pad has apparently been replaced since the GTO emblem is not there. The GTO emblem has been reproduced so it could be "corrected." Or might find a nice used emblem.

I assume that the parchment interior is called out on the data plate, but I would make sure. I would have assumed black, but some did get parchment. I have seen parchment more on the automatic pattern cars, but I have not seen a lot of them.

I assume that the VIN is there but cannot be seen with all the gunk on the engine. I'll try to see how high up mine is stamped today and let you know. You'll probably need to remove the hoses and clean quite a bit to see it.

This would be a great project or clean it up and drive it some. I forget if the engine has been rebuilt. If it has not and you start running the engine up some at wot, you'll be rebuilding it soon I'll bet. I got mine in 1979 and bored it .30 over in 1980 because it was fouling a plug....................................

Being a 1D Baltimore car, isn't that in the window that the dash emblem may have been deleted?

Have to pull back up past threads.

Found 1C Baltimore cars with the "GTO" dash emblem and 2A Baltimore cars without it. Anyone have a 1D Baltimore car??

It doesn't show clearly in the pic, but I cleaned that flat spot down to metal. The VIN is not anywhere on that flat spot.

Owner has no knowledge of any prior rebuild. Was owner's aunt's daily driver until she became too sick to drive it - this was around the end of 2009. He says she never went over 40 on the highway - which sounds dangerous in so cal.

Default rear end

Here are the pics I took of the rear end - unfortunately the codes are not as visible as I thought they'd be... The long # is clear - but I believe this is fairly generic. The date code is suppose to be above it - I thought this would be a code similar to a head code... A letter for a month, then two days, then the last digit of the year? But that's not what's there obviously.

Just for fun, I also attached a couple pics of the original spare time - its never been down, still has the little rubber nubs.

Service bulletin dated Feb 24th/69 for Dash emblem delete...and my 2A also did not have it so....sounds about right, as they started removing them just before the SB...:-)

The date code is a julian date code I believe. The 9795084 casting number is right I believe, and the date will be the number of days into the year. 365 would be the 365th day of 1968. On the rear of the driver's side axle tube you should find the two letter code (XH if the posi hd rear I believe) and the assembly date of the rear close to the code. This assembly date code is in the same julian format. Here is a good thread to read--
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...hlight=9795084

Now, a correctly dated tire is a real surprise!

Hopefully I was wrong about the GTO plate on the dash. Maybe Baltimore stopped using it the last half of January and this is the original dash pad.

My 2C Baltimore was built without either of the dash ornaments.

We had a thread 3-4 years ago that went into this subject about Baltimore dash ornaments and guys listed their examples. Can't remember if any 1D cars were mentioned w/o ornaments.

Back in days gone by, a lot of guys wouldn't get all the wiring back into all the loom sleeves and clip holders just right, when replacing a dash.
If you can get up under and spy behind the dash - if all wiring looks untouched and secured - probably original dash.

The key/door buzzer not working - is probably just a worn out buzzer dealio.

That or the owner just popped it out, cause he liked to sit there with the radio on and the door open enjoying his beer.....like I did.

Default Not a baltimore car after all

The car was built in Framingham, Mass. VIN is 242379G......

Does anyone have a 1969 Pontiac built in Framingham? Is there a VIN on the block?

If the ram air cable connector is original to this car, it will surprise a few of the national judges and me too. Good luck with the car.

Wasn't Framingham the factory that put the VIN in a non typical location? Like way up by the head or something like that?

Fremont did that...not sure if Framingham did as well...
