Does anyone want this one for $400? It's a 65 Electra with pwr windows, pwr vents, pwr antenna and a tilt. The engine, trans and door panels are gone.

I would guess the top value parts wouls be the radio, buckets, engine (if it runs), steering box and gauge cluster (if it is a full gauges). The most valuable Corvair piece I have ever delt with was a tele column ($800).

I have lots of Corvair friends, most are great people, all are frugal. The guy that bought mine drove from a few hours away, picked it up, got home and then decided he had overpaid so he drove me nuts to get a $100 refund.

Good luck and hopefully high profit on your part out.

thanks for the heads up. this car has no gauges, and i was hoping for that column....you were right though, half the people posting in my parts ad on corvaircenter.com are total jag offs. trying to be cool about it so i can sell some stuff on there. the guy who bought the radio from me has been very helpful though. Asking 650 for the engine/3.55 trans axle assembly (turns over). trhat's a fair price right?

Last summer a friend sold a running driving solid but poorly painted 69 Corvair 3spd coupe for $550.

It was on the market for 4 weeks (craigs list, local swap meets and cruise nights).

Is it me or most of these cars had perfect rust free frames/bodies?? Wondered why ppl scrapped them in the first place in that condition, unless they were badly wrecked on one side or engine blown...Great job you do, BTW, Dedsleds...:-)

HEY WHAT'S UP!

This car was far less than perfect. rotted floors, rotted underneath tunnel, rotted front valance, rotted roof in the window channels....chicago car all its life. Pictures make it look 10x better. Thanks!
