Default 75 GV Ragtop

Guys,

I'm going to look at a 75 Grand Ville 'vert. I'm a longtime A-Body guy, never had a full size. Are there any special areas or problems to watch for? How about parts that are "unobtainable". The car is in pretty good shape but I have no idea what is easily sourced for these cars and what isn't.

Last one I looked at was pretty nice on the outside but needed floors.

They're nice cars but parts are rough to come by. Especially the rubber fillers between the bumpers and the body.

Are some Impala/Caprice rubber frame parts interchangable?

Look for rust on the bottom of the Quarters, the top of the rear wheel openings and bottom of the front fenders behind the wheels. The hoods seem to have paint and rust issues too. Good luck and post some pics if it looks good.

no they are different

floors rotted in rear seat floor pan and under rear seat are typical

check the header bow on the top frame for rust...

I believe Bob Dillon has a Grand Ville convertible, you could send him a PM.
