Default Concours quality chrome refinishing?

I have a friend with a super high-end car, it's a 1950s American car and he wants some of the chrome redone.

I'm sure this will involve even stripping the copper on some, refinishing, then re-copper plating and chrome dipping. He for sure wants the heavy duty parts chrome dipped, not plated.

I know there are maybe only a couple places left in the US that do this.

Who is the best? No expense spared, cost not an issue, not wait time.

Thanks!

All chrome is plated, not "dipped" unless that's something I never heard of?

There are places that dip items in chrome, but it's super unheard of because it's very wasteful = expensive.

Kinda like how there is only 1 place that does fire/mercury gold gilding, 99.9% of people are fine with electroplating.

This is the best old school way to do quality chrome bumpers.
But remember, it's all about the prep, that's what you pay for. Shipping costs are a consideration but that is a separate issue.

If you want the absolute best, that would be Advanced Plating in Nashville.
Pretty much every Great 8 contender (not to mention Ridler award winner) at every Autorama has had its chrome done by them. Foose, Trepanier, etc - they all use Advanced Plating.

Finishing Touch
AIH Chrome

These two would be my recommendations. Both do excellent work.

All chrome is done by dipping. Show chrome is first copper platted then nickel platted and then triple chrome plated.

Top of my list for the correct Repairs and correct quality in EACH step and a better than pro Final product is "Pauls Chrome" near Pittsburgh, PA.
This is east coast obviously. I am shocked California even allows the use of the chemicals needed for this process.

I use them too. The owner Craig is a character! A friend sent a piece that arrived there the day before the flooding. Craig was fortunate to be on high ground and had 6" of water inside. Despite that, he met his normal 2 week turn around promise and my friend had his part back in excellent shape.
Paul's is top notch too, but could take a long time to do the job, if that matters.
