Default 71 455 H.O. Chrome Nose Cars

Anybody own one - have pictures of one - PHS Invoice or Buildsheet to any of them ?

I've got a document that shows 122 Non-GTO / Non-Judge 455 HO's were built.

74 with Manual Trans
48 with Auto Trans

Of those 122 - 38 had Endura T41 Front Clips
Leaves 84 with Chrome Noses.

Lets see how many we can dig up.
I've got nothing .... negative zero.

btw - T41 cars are welcome here too.

Dan also has an auto and I have a 4 speed. OPH has a 4 speed also. All T-37 sedans.
Here is a link to story on my car. Can send photos if you would like. PM me. I have posted shipping doc and msrp here before but can do again if necessary or if others would like a repost.

David Wojahn's 71 Lemans 455HO (not an original HO car, but nicely built like one). See article from www.PontiacsOnline.com link.

the PHS, or build sheet says "postrction"?
i thought that was a chevy name?

i thought pontiac says "safe-t-track" in fact i'm sure i've seen build sheets that say safe t track.

i dont feel so bad saying "yep, 3.55 posi" now...
one question tho...

posi grip or poli grip...which do you use more these days?

Why in he!! would someone order an HO 'vert, with air, and NOT order PDB???

Couple pics of Dan's fabulous HO cars!

Been posted here in various threads MANY times, but IMO ANY of the Jensen boys' cars is always worth a look-see.

the numbers you show are for US plant production. 12 more 71 23337's have been documented as built at Oshawa plant with 455HO engines, also 3 LeMans Sport hardtops. that info is off Dan's registry & I believe Marc, Ian, & Todd were the ones who first came up with the Oshawa info.

this gives a grand total of 137 non-GTO 455HO '71 A bodys built. of the 137, 32 have been documented, though a few of those cars may only exist today in document form.

the 455HO aztec gold LeMans Sport convert referred to above (mistakenly as white) is the only 71 455HO LeMans Sport convert documented so far which was built with the standard nose. Over the entire line, not nearly as many 71 LeMans Sports received the T41 nose jobs as '72's, yet other than that particular project convert, the other 71HO LeMans Sport converts noted have T41 noses. Having owned a ton of 71 & 72 Pontiac A-bodys over the years, personally prefer the 71 chrome nose cars, easily the cleanest looking frontend of the bunch, & lightest as well.

Actually, colors are supposed to be "Z" and "2" - Aztec Gold with a black top.
