Too many projects right now! The complete engine is for the racecar. The one that needs to be finished is for the streetcar, which has been down for way too long.

Well I just went to my first cruise in and car show this Memorial Day weekend. The posi unit, Hurst roll control and wheels and tires are on the GTO. This about completes the restoration, with the exception of getting some small detailing things.

Hope you like it.

Very nice. There aren't a lot of Aquamarine '64 GTO's out there. Needless to say I am partial to them.

I guess they both photograph funny. I have had a very hard time getting a photo that actually looks like the real color of my car. The Yorktown blue was one of my favorites when they were new. The factory just didn't do a very good paint job, but they looked great with a repaint.

No pics at this time but we got new seats and top on the wifes 70 GTO convertible and I have been sanding that dude for about 3 weeks now. Nearly got it naked. Hope to have it done and drive it to the PoCI convention in Joplin. By the way going back original with Baja Gold black top and interior.

What a difference a day makes - when you can actually work a few hours without any interruptions.

Jim,

What a stunning job you did! That has got
to be one of the nicest 64s I have ever seen.
I have yet to see one in person though,
only on line. I haven't been to a car show with one yet, not to mention the fact I have yet to go to a Pontiac show. There's one coming up in June at a local Pontiac dealer that I finally can go to and I can't wait to see the cars there. Did you win a ribbon for Best in Show?

OMT,
What year does the bottom engine in the picture go in?

Dick,
I look forward seeing you and your car at Grand Pontiac.

Guys,
A heads up, to anyone who would be interested in buying my car. If someone is interested,
I'll give them a good deal. 1965 LeMans HT.
The engine, body, trim, chrome and interior are worth my rock bottom price of $4200.00.
Thanks.
Joe (Rudy)

The bottom one is going in my 64 GTO - SOON! The top one will go in the '64 Tempest after the current racing season is over. This is my middle granddaughter. Got to bring 'em up right.

I'll assume from the picture that she is installing the flywheel with a torque wrench.

What a cutie! How old is she? About three?

She is very small for her age. She will be 8 in October. Besides being naturally small, she had surgery for ovarian cancer when she was 3 1/2 months old. However, she has a VERY large personality.

1964 Tempest, currently undergoing surgery to replace the powerplant. Out with the 8.2:1 compression 325 HP 462 and in with the 10:1 425 HP 406 with stock E-heads.

Also replacing the 13" Continental converter with a tight 10" along with a fresh TH400 trans. A new Rodney Red radiator replaces the leaky Desert Cooler to help it stay cool. Should be fun.

If this pulled up next to you at a stoplight would you race against it?

Another half day of work and more progress. Now all I need to do is to paint the engine and clean up the engine compartment. I am trying to get the engine into the chassis (done or not) before my motorcycle shows up so I can park the bike in the garage.

A couple of details to finish and it is ready to go into the car. Maybe this weekend?
