Taking a 1968 apart for redo and what I thought was an aftermarket tach after closer inspection looks like factory option. It is mounted on tranny tunnel as car had no console. It has what appears to be factory harness that plugs directly into fuse box with GM connections. Anybody hear or know about this option. Yes it may be for sale.

Sorry my wording got a little screwed up. It looks like tach but it is a CLOCK.

Yes, it was an option. I am not sure what it is worth. You can buy reconditioned ones for about $50.

67VertBird,
Where have you seen reconditioned ones for $50! You'd be lucky to buy a broken but complete one for that. FORSALE, If you sell it, keep all the brackets, screws and harness together. It will make it worth much more. If it needs repair, there are places that do that for $50 and up. John

I just fixed mine last weekend, it ran for an hour and 45 minutes before stopping. I did run into a place on ebay that converts them to modern electronic internals, for about 30-50 bucks.

The factory clocks are going for close to $300 on E-bay!!! I see them for around $200 on average.
