will someone be so kind as to tell me if the 1979 firebird could be had from the factory with a sunroof. Im looking at buying a 79 but dont want it if the roof is aftermarket as weatherstripping will be a b!t(h to find!..thanks!

As far as I know, the only factory roof option was the fisher T-tops. I've got a feeling you're looking at a dealer/owner installed item done after delivery.
Someone else chime in if there was a listed option.....

It wasnt a dealer option that I know of. You can go to Ziebart and have those guys replac the weather stripping, or use some universal stuff.
