OK I think I have the size right now. I hope the car goes together easier than this.

Wow...looks like a great car to restore. I am working on a '65 myself. I think you will find this forum to be an invaluable tool, I know I have.
Is that by chance a spare boxed frame in the picture? No chance you would be selling the one under the car?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Sorry the other frame has been spoken for. I will keep this post alive as I progress. Peter |

Great project! I did a similar car. If you want to see how I approached it here are my pictures.
Yellow Convertible You are off to the right start in taking pictures. I used mine many times during reassembly. |

Looks like my 65, except I'm going in the reverse of you. Got it all painted, new interior in, and just dropped the motor in this week. Will post some pics of mine shortly. Be sure to bag and tag everything. I did this and still lots plenty of things.

Yeah, keep us updated on your project. I'm knee deep in the middle of a ressurection of a 65 GTO as well. I have tons of pics of mine as im going. I'm 1/2 way finished with the frame. I cant wait to mate the frame back to the body so the serious work can begin.
Like Brad said.. Bag and tag everything and also if you have a digital camera handy, take TONS of pics. digital pics are free. and I take several pictures of every single thing i take apart so I have some idea how it goes back together later. -Tronix(frame'd)GT

Here is today's update:
Pulled the motor yesterday not too bad. Started taking out the body bolts. Are they all supposed to strip or break? There is going to be some extra body repair from the holes I had to drill to get to the stripped bolts. It is almost all the way off the frame, but cold weather and a lack of long enough 4X4s stopped me early today. Peter |
