I am looking for a roller that the body isn't rotted or bent up. I am putting a Pontiac 350 in as it appears someone wants my 77 Firebird body only. One question on this swap. How much room in front of the core support is there on the 90's style trucks compared to the early ones? I want to see if there might be room for an intercooler.

The box bodys have less room in the compartments, a bbc will fit with minor notching to firewall and frame. A bbc falls into the mid-late 90's truck, alot more width but about the same amount of room between the radiator and grill on both trucks.

One of Pontiac Dudes customers installed a Pontiac motor in an S10, and said it was easier than a SBC transplant. It's on Ken's website, but it's a late 80's S10 they appear to have more room.

THANKS GUYS. I have done an 85 S10 with a stock 1975 350 Pontiac, but I didn't know about the later S-10's. BTW, having been involved in serveral sbc swaps, the Pontiac is a little easier because the exhaust ports are in a better location than a sbc vs. where everything else is under the hood.

Yeah, I would like a Supercab style.(opps, gm calls them extended cabs, working at ford is starting to show!) No I didn't get any pictures. At the time, I didn't even own a camera. The truck actuly belonged to a friend and serveral of our buddies all had a weekend greese party with it. The result was a running truck, somehow. I might have been the only one not drunk by Sunday night ! It was a blast to drive, but did understeer with the stock size wheels and cheapo tires! I want to do up a nice one and make it a daily driver for me. I think it would be fun and the first thing I'll do is the front suspension so it won't have the run off the road ailments my buddies truck did. At least after a couple weeks, he was able to go back to work. Ouch. I already have a 9" with 3.70 gears and a spare 3.27 geared center section to fit in one.

My "extended" cap may end up for sale.Depends on what happens with a truck I test drove today.
On an interesting side note,B body arms and brakes are supposed to be a bolt on.
If I end up keeping the s10 I was going to do this then I could use those Granville 15 inch rims I have been sitting on for years.
