My 63 Grand Prix tilt column is getting loose at the tilt pivot. Vertically, it's fine but horizontally, it's getting loose right at the tilt pivot point and will rock right and left. Is this something that's come loose that can be tightened or do I need to start searching for parts? I am learning to ask BEFORE I take things apart.

If you need any parts, I have a tilt column from a 63 Catalina for $50 plus shipping. E-mail [email protected].

Thank you. I may very do this. There about 8 different columns for 63. Is yours for a car with a floor shift?

I found out what was wrong with my tilt column today the hard way. The column tube itself broke. Does anyone have a used 63 tilt with floor shift column? Take a look at this:
