Marty Palbykin ran Large Diesel turbos in his
initial turbo program and apparently they worked ok as he made about 1600 hp with them. To get the maximum power out of a turbo you need purpose built turbos that have features that allow it to live at high engine and turbo rpm. Lots of Mustang guys out there playing with DO IT YOURSELF cheap junkyard turbos that are going pretty fast for the money they have invested in their cars. Most are Carbed blow thru deals. What was the brand of turbos and what were they off of? Tom V.

The top one looks like a Holset turbo. Some of them are capable of supporting 800HP. Definately check out Turbomustangs.com. I got a lot of ideas for my turbo stuff from those guys.

I didn't see any markings on the top turbo but the bottom one is aireasearch. The top one was on a large deisel engine with a hydraulic powerpack. Could of been from a CAT or something. The guy wanted $200 each for these as cores.
