Ok. I am trying for the 4th time to get a freeze plug to seal in my head. It is the freeze plug that faces the distributor on the left bank. This head used to be the right side and the hole used to be the water crossover. I can not get it to not seal. I have used permetex 2 two of the times. I am about to JB weld the damn thing in. I have been using dorman number 555-021 all the times which I am pretty sure is the right one.
If anyone knows if this is the right size plug it would be appreciated, or has a suggestion to seal it better. They are 72 7J2 Heads by the way. |

I think the diameter is either 1 3/16, or 1 13/64". Hope this helps.
