I want to put a set of Wheel Vintiques Billet Rallye II's on my 1965 GTO Hardtop. They make them in 18" now. I was hoping to get some input as far as how large can be stuffed in the front & back with no mods at all. It looks to me that a 8" will fit fine in back, but will a 9 or 10" fit? in the front 8" would be plenty I think. And what about tire size? I would like to keep the stock height of 26" in front and go up to 28 or 29" in back. So then there is the issue of the width of the tires, too. It will be expensive, so I don't want to screw up, but I want it to look the best & be the maximum possible.

I, too, am thinking about 18's and 20's. I called Diamond Back Classic Tires and they gave me the following information, I will get redlines from them in the larger sizes, I think that will really throw a goat over the top

245/45/18 26.7" tall 8.9" tread 10" crosssection
295/35/18 26.3" tall 11.5"tread 11.5" crosssection
225/40/18 25.1" tall 8.3" tread 9.3 crosssection

Rear Tires
245/35/20 26.7" tall 8.4" tread 9.6" crosssection
255/35/20 26.9" tall 8.8" tread 10.1" crossection.

I hope these dimensions help you out. Both fit 8-10" rims. Good luck--Ron
