I purchased a 1964 GTO with a correct 389 that has A/C, PS , PB and a aftermarket 6 speed--I have the engine out and may replace the cam
What size cam can I install without hurting the vacumm for the brakes Does a 1964 GTO have a different timing cover for a tri-power What would be a good clutch and pressure plate to go with that holds good and easy to push in |

The front cover is the same for the tri-power. A good clutch is the Center Force Dual Friction. I sent you a separate mail earlier today about cam choices.

If you do put a hot cam in your engine you can purchase a vacuum reserve cannister from Summit Racing that is made to overcome that problem.
