I just picked up a '89 Formula 5.0 Sunday. The guy I bought it from said he put a 350 in it. I don't know anything about a "C" word engine. How can one tell the difference between a 305 (5.0) and 350 (5.7)?
The engine is seized and no doubt due to the fact there is no oil showing on the stick! It is a "Tune Port Injected" engine if that matters. Thanks for any tips, DanC ------------------------------ I'd rather be Historically Accurate than Politically Correct !

Just like a P word engine.
 Get the 8 or so digit number off of the bellhousing flange and match it up online. You should be able to type the number and the word chevy in a google search and get an answer.

Just get the casting # off the back of the block. Go to Mortec.com, they have a complete listing of casting #s for Chevy engines. Hope this helps.
