Anyone here know if the front and rear valances for '69 and '70 Catalinas are the same? Thanks for any help.

Ok, thanks for the info. My follow-up question is whether I can use a '70 valance on a '69 if I also get the signal lights? What body/interior parts ARE interchangeable between '69 and '70 Cats? Thanks again.

i have not had a 69 and 70 side by side to check out the possibility of interchange , but i think it would be quite a bit of work due to the shape of the front bumpers. the rear might work though. unfortunately there is not much that does interchange between the 69 and 70 as far as the body goes. the interior will , but they have different patterns for the seats and door panels for each year. trim is different between the two years also. mechanically the two are identical also including some items such as door handles , outside mirrors etc. i have the same problem finding body parts for my 70. they are out there but you have to be patient and persistant. might want to check out the big pontiac parts for sale section as there are a couple of bonnevilles and a catalina being parted.

Thanks for the detailed response 1970cat, it was very helpful. Finding parts for the late 60's early 70's big cars is no easy task! I have surfed the classifieds here, but I'll check again. I missed out on a perfectly good front valance for my '69 by a few weeks...the owner ended up throwing it in the trash becasue of no response to the ad!
