From what I seen the doors would interchange from either car. I will check and post either later today or tomorrow. From what I can tell from my Fisher body manual, as long as it is an open top door it will interchange. I know that the Catalina and Ventura use a different inside door handle style than the GP and Bonneville. Hope this helps. Pat

Thanks for your quick response. I e-mailed Steve, which would work out nicely since I plan on racing @ his Phoenix event in April and could pick up the door then.

I am restoring this car for the GP Chapter "Cruise Across America" in early May. We plan to drive to Tulsa and join the westbound cruise there. Any chance of you making part of the Cruise, or did I ask you already?

'68 Prix- thanks for the referral. I do have a '68 GP. I think the Bonne/Cat door may be different as they have vent windows and the GP does not. The skin is probably the same but, the inside mounting and/or structure may be different. anyway, I'll check..

Steve- I like to give referrals to guys I had good dealings with.
I did think the doors might be different with the wing windows but it just does not show enough in the Body manual. I read some place that wing windows were available on the GP in 68 but never found that to be true.
The door inside door handle is 68 only, and specific to the GP and Bonnevilles.
I love the 68 GP but it is a bear to find parts when needed.

Hello, this is the first time I'm posting on these
forums. Sounds like you need to find a nice GP door, the Cat or Bonney will have a wing window and you can't have one side different from the other! Did the window survive? That glass is all special too with the GP logo in glass. These 68's
have many one year only parts and are hard to find. Luckily mine was mostly all there when I found it. I see another 68 GP is right down the road from me in Brookfield. I'm in Sheboygan.

I'm not sure of the '68, but I just installed the trim and glass on my '67 GP. On the'67 the door skins, both inside and out, are the same for the cars with or without vent windows ( Cat, Bonny, and GP). There are sets of holes for mounting either window track set and of course the vent frame. It is actually a good case of GM engineering, by using the same door it reduces the need to press two different sets of doors, instead just set up the tooling to press out all the holes you might need either way.

Thanks to your suggestion, Steve Barcak came up with a fender and door which I will see next week. If these parts are workable, then I will have what I need for the restoration. I will post some pics after the GP is finished. I appreciate your help.
