Would anyone know how to manualy change the heat/cool actuator. It doesn't work and the keep charging me over $100. to switch it over. They want a small fortune to replace it. Is it a big job to replace?

It's a '97 Bonneville, I didn't think it was a door ,I thought it was a vacume operated heater control valve?? The dealer called it an actuator. Anyway , how do you manually control it? It dosen't take the dealer very long when they do it. Thanks
