Here is my mods list on my 67. I know its impossible to tell how much she's putting down or what she'll run but maybe some of you guys can give me some ballpark #s from experience on these poncho motors
-400cui bore over .30 -forged steel pistons -oversized camshaft from compcams Duration at .050: 218 Intake Valve Lift: 0.454 Exhaust Valve Lift: 0.454 Lobe Seperation: 110° -hooker headers(not the comps) -holley street avenger 670 cfm carb w/ 1inch spacer -k&n air filter of course -edel. intake perf. manifold -3inch piping off headers to flowmaster 2chambers(dumped) -be cool alum. radiator and elect. fan kit -rebuilt tranny from Toy Shop with a mild shift kit and 2800 stall. -I have no clue about the rear end, it's next on my mod list. it's the original 10bolt. From what I know it's a peg leg or a broken posi, sometimes I'll lay 2 down from what others have told me. -I pulled the A/C out. That's pretty much it from what I can remember. The torque feels massive, I beat almost everything off the line(even though the rear end blows), 3rd gear lags big time though, thats usually when these newer F.I. cars catch up and pass. anyway if anyone wants to give me some ball park #s just for the hell of it I'm all ears until I get a chance to put it on the dyno and track. Here is a pic of the motor.

Nice looking Car.
What is an oversized Cam? Is that cam a 218/218 single pattern cam? What heads and compression are you running? Have the heads been worked? What intake are you using? The rear end ratio will also play a large part in the way your car performs and matched to the rest of your combo. A peg leg rear will not be anywhere near optimal for launching that car. The other questions need to be answered before any guesses could be made.

Hey Mchell, Sorry for the lack of info, I understand that it's a long shot. I just thought maybe someone might have the same type of setup on there 400 and possibly shoot me some ball park #s. the motor was fully rebuilt at a buddy of mines machine shop in CA.Here is a link to the cam I have the build sheet in storage right now. The paint, body, chrome, stainless, and NOS parts have taken so long(2years) to finish that I forgot all the motor specs and get them confused with my uncles jet boat specs and my cousins firebird specs. The heads are stock just rebuilt/refreshed, the intake manifold is an edelbrock performer(not the perf. rpm which is for top end IIRC). I'll have to stop by a buddy's house for the compression, I can't remember it for the life of me. When I sent it to my buddys shop I said build something in means of street/strip, since it was my everyday driver years ago

Nope, not yet.
Changed my mind at the last second and ordered a comp extreme grind 234/244 on a 112 lobe. I hope it comes quick as I have a lot of racing planned at the end of august. Be interesting to see if I can reach my goal. I know you guy's are skeptical, gotta try it!! Later

vic,
Didn't want to sound so blunt. Sounds like you have a nice car. If its mostly stock for 67 I would guess stock HP #s at around 300-350 at the flywheel. That should get you mid to high 14's in the 1/4. Just a guess, mileage will vary.

I was thinkin about the same there. 300-350. It has a small cam so it will make power down low. Its a big cam for a small chevy, but not a 400ci Pontiac.
