Don't know if anyone has posted about this yet. I found a PS 2 game by Bethesda Softworks. Game is called IHRA Drag Racing 2. Best practice tree I have found for 15 bucks. Dang near the real thing. I find myself stuck on it for hours at a time. Guess it still the kid in me.

I have the same game. It's a blast. A bunch of my racing buddies also have it so we set up some rules and have fastest street car shootouts. The only thing that sucks is that my playstation took a crap and I had to take it apart to get the game out. It's probably a good thing though because now I spent more time in the garage and less time in front of the tube!

OMT,

Based on what I've seen, you don't need the practice!

Ron,

Thanks for the nice remarks. The car is right where I want it to be. It's the driver that needs work. Maybe by Pontiac Heaven next year, I'll be able to cut a light!

Jim - It took me quite a few runs across a year or so before I got more comfortable with driving my car. The practice really does help, even if it is frustrating sometimes.

twooldgoats. You and I need to take some lessons from OMT, aka The California Terror. He has turned out to be a wizard at the lights.

Ron,

I'm trying. Last weekend, Ellen and I went to the National Dragster Challenge up in Roswell and this weekend I plan to race here in Tucson. It will be warm, though. They're predicting a high of almost 110 degrees in Tucson this Saturday and the gates open at 3PM. I lost both rounds in Roswell because of bad reaction times. I'm just trying right now to get as much seat time as possible. I have to say I'll be glad when it cools off. With the required jacket, the five-point harness, and the lexan windows that don't roll down, it gets a little warm in there.

By the way, Darryl and Linda Moreland from Albuquerque met us in Roswell and raced, too, with a lot more success (I'm sure you remember them from Pontiac Heaven). Linda went three rounds, I think,in Big Red in No-E at Roswell and Darryl lost in the semi-finals of Super Pro to a guy with a .004 package.

I'd like to come over to LACR to the Pontiac Drag Series at least once this fall. I went once as a spectator a few years ago. My car should run pretty much the same at LACR as it does here in Tucson (3075 foot elevation).

Jim
