Does anybody know where I can get some replacement edge trim? It is the edge molding that follows the bodyline about half way up on a 70-72 Lemans, I’m assuming to protect against door dings. My driver’s door is missing the black rubber part. I don't need the stainless steel part of it, but I need some of the black rubber part that goes in the middle of it. I look like it is about a 1/4" x 1/4" square (ok with a slight taper to it). But anyways, can you buy this stuff on a big roll and cut it or can you buy it as separate parts? Or can you buy it at all?

Thanks

Nathan,

I am afraid youe best bet is to try to find the whole piece. I had that trim on my 71. After it got hit on the passanger side several years ago, I ended up giving up and removed all of the pieces. I have seen the on ebay from time to time.

Good luck,

Randy

If all you need is the rubber insert that goes into the stainless moulding I may have a spare piece that goes on the front fender. Do you think you could use this to take the plastic out and put it into your stainless? It would probably be longer than the part that goes on the door. Let me know if you are interested in this. (E-mail me at home)
