Hi all...
I have a 70 Catalina with a 400 that was orig a 2bbl, and have upgraded to an Edelbrock performer with an Edelbrock 600 4bbl. The car runs very sweet now, but would like to upgrade to the ready to run MSD billet, with a 6AL box.
2 questions......first..how big of a difference should one expect with this upgrade, and secondly...how do you figure out(or...does someone already know?) which advance weights should be used for the best performance???
any help will be appreciated....thanks, Ross

You will not notice any difference unless you now have a problem. The MSD box will help fire plugs that are border line. you could save money by converting you stock distributor to electronic ignition.

Ross, Bob has a good point, I had a 72 350 and removed the stock points type and dropped in an HEI distributor.Ran fine for what I needed.Just run the 2 hot wires to the coil into a female 1/4 connector and connect to the HEI.
